American Policy in the Burmese Context
Kanbawza Win (25-4-08)
The U.S. government has undeniably provided small amounts of money to various opposition groups and political parties through the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the International Republican Institute (IRI) and other organs. Such funding has at times helped a number of opposition groups cover some of the costs of their operations, better enabling them to afford computers, Internet access, fax machines, printing costs, office space and other materials. Assistance from foreign governments has also helped provide for poll watchers and other logistical support to help insure free and fair elections.
Vote “No,” We will Win
Kanbawza Win(21-3-08)

Hence the simple message should be given to the man in the street, who doesn’t know, who is who and what is what, that if they like this government they should vote “Yes” but if they don’t like this government they should vote “No”. Let the ordinary working people and the struggle lot decides. This is what we call in Burmese “À Thae Kyar Ka Mae Ta Pyar”literally translated is the vote from your heart and liver.
P’doh Mahn Sha: the man I know
Naw May Oo (Nant Tsan Bwa) (20-2-08)
Indiana University School of Law

Although he is not without criticism, he was undeniably an exceptional leader.  He stood out among many leaders and was noticed by all – ordinary civilians, our soldiers, students, and youth.  His remarkable determination was one among the many fine qualities he displayed.
The Situation of the Fourth Pillar in Burma
Zin Linn (10-1-08)
In the 1950s, Burma was at the forefront of press freedom in Southeast Asia, the country enjoyed free press without severe restriction. As many as three dozens newspapers, including English and Chinese dailies, existed between 1948 and 1962 under civilian government.  Even the prime minister’s office never closed for the journalists in those
days. There were also free to set up relation with international press agencies.
A REVERT TO BSPP OLD WAYS BUT THIS TIME PEOPLE WIN
Saww Oo Swarr (3-1-08)
There is nothing wrong with reciting the teachings of Buddha either in the abodes or walking along the pathways. Subsequently nothing is wrong to pay homage by the laity to the clergy in homes or on the streets - resting in homes or walking alongside the monks. Actually these are honorable performances and actions expressing humanity's age-old legacy and dignity of Love and Compassion and correlatively the stamina of Universal Peace which thus is antagonistically against the blood-bath demeanor of SPDC.

n (13-12-07)
China, India and Burma’s Southeast Asian neighbors have brushed aside the Washington’s calls for an economic embargo and the diplomatic isolation of the Junta. As the attention of the world shifts elsewhere, the generals have made it clear that they intend to follow their own course, as they have through a half-century of self-imposed isolation.
Will Sergio Paulo Pinheiro be another Ibrahim Gambari?

We hope to see the full delivery of concrete human rights improvements identified by the U.N. Human Rights Council and Security Council, including the fate of additional 700 political prisoners including at least 15 individuals sentenced to prison terms of up to nine and a half years.
DEMONSTRATIONS ARE THE SOUL OF A PEOPLE
Saww  Oo  Swarr
(11-10-07)
SPDC practices shameful acts of terrorism against the demonstrating mass of the people. Their hatred for the people is heightened by their brutal man handling of monks who are reciting peace and love provoking preaching of Buddha –i.e. sutras – along the streets running through civilian quarters.
Lessons learned from the crisis in Burma
Lisa Porter (9-10-07)
Tragically, states’ responses around the world have failed to match the strength of the Burmese. Government’s reactions, basically amounting to complacency with the Burmese junta, have once again provided evidence that that we are facing a global crisis. Our governments are prioritizing the corporate-military agenda dictated by power-hungry and greedy forces over the protection of the most basic human right, the right to life.
Risky Dawn in Burma
Zo Nun Chin (8-10-07)
However, let bygones be bygones done to Burma, now is the only right time for the UN to take part in stopping the prominent cruel crackdown and launching the process of national reconciliation, restoration and building of Burma before it becomes too late. If not, the UN might merely be another run-of-the-mill body for over 55 million people in Burma.
THE MAGNANIMITY OF SPORADIC REVOLUTIONS
Saw Oo Sw
arr(3-10-07)
The same acts of terrorism are also applied to recital monks, one of the basic triple essences of Buddhism. And mind you! Burma is a Buddhist country – we may even say the central core of Buddhism as of the current years. And Buddhism is one of the four major religious of the world – the remaining three being Christianity, Hinduism and Islamism.
Burma resistance much stronger than 1988
Michael Beer (1-10-07)
The resistance is better unified than in 1988.  In 1988, the ethnic nationalities largely sat on the sidelines. Much coalition building has been done since and ethnic nationalities are strong partners in the resistance. Furthermore the aborted elections of 1990 in which the people overwhelmingly elected the NLD and its allies, established a strong alternative to the military.
FROM A SILENT WAR TO A DECISIVE REVOLUTION
SAWW OO SWARR (24-9-07)
If there is a will there is a way. If people will there will be a government. The seat of government in the first stages is not as much important as forming a government. The will of the nationalities is supreme. Just form a temporary government by the will of the people and stand firmly for the government. This is truly possible if the nationalities undauntedly back up the government, which really is nationalities’ government. Nationally elected peoples, representatives of the 1990 elections, are at hand to lend a temporary hand to this issue.

“Burmese People's Protests Against Fuel Prices Hike Amid Ruffians' Attacks ”
Zin Linn (31-8-07)
The military authorities and their gang of blood-thirsty Swan-ar Shin have been violently cracking down on unarmed civilian protesters, who have been peacefully protesting against their desperate economic situation. More and more families are facing starvation because the price of rice has doubled, there are no public transportation services to take people to work, and worse proceedings may follow.

Burma may not get out of Constitutional Quagmire,
Regardless of Self-determination

Zin Linn
Under the menace of the military junta (SPDC), brushing aside the majority of people’s representatives-elect and allowing pro-military hand-picked delegates, how could it be a free and autonomous convention to make any social-contract. While contentious national convention is underway, the junta-backed Union Solidarity and Development Association, together with members of the local authorities and police, brazenly assaulted on human rights defenders in Burma.

Ashamed to be an ASEAN
Kanbawza Win
It is plain to see that the success of these Burmese liars, making numerous promises to the organization once it gained membership was able continue to defy regional and international pressure to change its political course is because of its abundant natural resources, which the group enjoys and continue to provide a protective shield against an increasingly outraged international community.

FROM A DULLARD KILLER TO AN INTELLIGENT ARMY
Saww Oo Swar
There is no longer a country. Instead, Burma is a killing grounds and killer-weapons of SPDC. There are no longer a people in its true sense. Instead, Burmese people have become zombies toiling under the military power and killing weapons of SPDC. What remains for the life and dignity of the nation and its people. Nothing! Nothing! Nothing! This unquestionably shows SPDC is totally ignorant of true politics.

Blue Print for Burma
Kanbawza Win

The fifth, and most crucial aspect is that the Burmese army is not sincere and has no love and cetena to the people of Burma . This can be easily comparable to with the latest Thai military coup where General Sonthi Boonyaratglin declared that he will be the interim Prime Minister just for a fortnight and that democracy will return to Thailand within a year, a time line, which the Burmese Generals dared not contemplate. Unlike the Burmese Generals it won't take a decade to draw up the new constitution but would be completed within a year. Unlike Burma , Thailand ' s latest coup has the full support of the people.
